Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is one of the leading figures in the world of sport, entertainment, media and business.
Since 2011, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi has been the President of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club (PSG), following his appointment as Chairman of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and their acquisition of the French football club that year. Additionally, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi sits on the Board of the French Professional League (LFP).
Elected in April 2021, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi is the Chairman of EFC that represents over 800 leading football clubs across the 55 national associations of Europe. He is the EFC representative on the UEFA Executive Committee, becoming the first leader from Asia to hold a UEFA position, and since October 2025, has also represented EFC on the FIFA Council. Since December 2024, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi has also served as Chairman of the EFC Foundation.
Alongside his leading roles within sport, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi is the Group Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP, the international sports, entertainment, and media group operating in 40 countries worldwide. In 2016, Mr Al-Khelaïfi led the acquisition of MIRAMAX, which holds one of the richest portfolios and pipelines of international award-winning films. More recently, under Mr Al-Khelaïfi’s leadership, beIN MEDIA GROUP acquired Digiturk, Türkiye’s largest Pay-TV platform. In January 2022, beIN MEDIA GROUP launched the OTT streaming platform, TOD, in MENA and Türkiye.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is also a board member of Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), while also being a Minister of State of Qatar.
In the world of racket sports, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi is Chairman of the QSI venture Premier Padel, the world’s leading official professional padel tour and one of the fastest-growing start-up tours in world sport. He is also President of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation (QTF), overseeing Qatar’s two largest annual tennis tournaments on the ATP and WTA Tours. Mr. Al-Khelaïfi was a world ranked professional tennis player for many years and represented his country in the Davis Cup.
Mr. Al-Khelaïfi is a global ambassador for The Youth Sports Games (YSG), founded in 1996 to enable children to participate in organised sporting events and other free activities. He is also the Chairman of the PSG Foundation which supports disadvantaged and sick children, as well as young people and communities in difficulty. Since 2022, he has been a Member Friend of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety.
Mr Al-Khelaïfi has been widely recognised for his leadership, receiving the Best Club President award from the Golden Boy Awards (Tuttosport) 2025, the Best Executive award from the World Football Summit Awards 2025, and the President of the Year award from the Globe Soccer Awards 2025.
