SC Braga wins third Taça de Liga Title
LISBON, PORTUGAL – 27 January 2024 – Sporting Clube de Braga (“SC Braga”) have been crowned Taça de Liga Champions, winning the club’s first trophy of the 2023/24 season.
In a thrilling encounter at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, SC Braga overcame a 1-0 deficit to beat G.D. Estoril Praia 5-4 on penalties, after the sides drew 1-1 during regular and extra time – Ricardo Horta’s sublime finish on the 19th minute leveling the tie.
This is the third time SC Braga have been crowned Taça de Liga Champions, following the club’s successful cup campaigns in 2013 and 2020.
